Thank you (and sorry for the slow reply, didn't have my notifications turned on). I think what I also wanted to convey is just how messy this issue is for the people experiencing it, and that we like to paint in black and white but we live in grey.
I wish people supported good policy and not just policy that impacts them in a good way. It feels like governing and voting has gotten very selfish. "How does this affect me?" instead of "how does this make the country better?"
Wow! Great point. I've wondered how many woman are forced into poverty and welfare for the Right To Life crowd?
I've heard that the 1st month of life for addicted infants in NICU costs $1 million dollars. After the 1st month, the addicted mother often cannot take care of the infant and herself.
These are lives the Right to Life protects and supports rather than 100% of woman who are not addicted to opioids. Perhaps the RTL crowd needs to pass the hat because it's unsustainable for health care, hospitals and taxpayers. Where ya at, fiscal conservatives?
I love this. It illustrates the power of policy and that it can be good even if, emotionally, one might disagree with it.
